Obituary of Mary Anne Bennett

Mary Anne Bennett, age 87, of Breezy Point, NY, passed away Thursday, January 16, 2025 at home, surrounded by her loving family. Mrs. Bennett was born June 18, 1937 in Brooklyn, NY. She is the daughter of the late Harry and the late Helen (McManus) Hughes.

Mary is the cherished mother of Helene Kennelly (Kevin,) Marianne Butera (Charlie,) Patricia Bennett (Dee,) Maureen Marron (Kenny,) Tom Bennett (Stacey) and Brian Bennett (Jennifer.)

She is "Nanny" to Matthew (Danielle,) Daniel (Samantha,) Lauren (Nico,) Kevin (Erin,) Terence, Tom, Martha, Tommy, Joseph, Luke and great-grandchildren Aidan, Olivia, McKensie, Fiona and Jamie.

She is reunited in heaven with her devoted husband Tom, parents Harry and Helen Hughes and brothers, Joseph and William.

She will be missed by many nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors.

Mary is now at peace in God's eternal embrace.

Calling hours will be Tuesday, January 21 from 3:00 - 7:30 PM at Marine Park Funeral Home, Inc., 3024 Quentin Road, Brooklyn, NY.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held 11:00 AM on Wednesday, January 22 at St. Thomas More R.C. Church, 204-25 Rockaway Point Blvd., Rockaway Point, NY.

Burial to immediately follow in Holy Cross Cemetery, Brooklyn.
